A WINDOW TO YOUR SOUL

He Looks in your eyes. It's there still.
Not the way it was when first you met.
No, not near as strong as when you had will.
But, it's there, faint, gasping, not gone yet.

He's watched you all these years.
Life's been hard on you and now your tired.
Your dreams have been shattered! Yes many tears!
Goals have escaped you. Your no longer inspired.

Back then you had conviction, ego and pride.
He could not approach you. You didn't hear His call.
Success was all you wanted. You never broke stride.
You Led in every battle. Always standing tall.

Alas, satisfaction escaped you. Never content.
Money wasn't the answer! You counted your share.
Down life's mountain, an avalanche, surely hell bent.
Yes you helped, you gave but appreciation was rare.

Now, yes at last, it’s the end of the road.
Exhausted, youth gone, your energy spent.
Your body has aged. Your back bent by the load.
You are dazed and confused! Where has time went.

Now you think it's too late.
There's nothing too do but pack it all in.
You have no more resolve. This is your fate.
I've wasted my life. Oh what a sin.

Now life is a battle. To each their own.
A different journey and mystery to solve.
Your soul is your will. A wonderful loan,
A gift from heaven on earth to resolve.

That light in your eye, dimmer than dim.
A beacon of hope brighter than light,
lighting the way on the road back to Him,
That window to your soul shinning so bright.

At last you now know! The secret is out.
Let your will reach out to heaven above.
Through prayer and faith remove all doubt.
Restore your spirit with God's pure love.

It's never too late to start fresh again.
The walk is much easier with Him by your side.
Released from the stress of all that old pain.
Just ask Him along and have a great ride.
