Howdy friends, fans, and flatulators!

I know, I know, I send out a newsletter as often as politicians live up to their election year promises. Well this election year, I solomly swear I'll grace your digital mailboxes with more spam and newsletters than you care to receive (which is probably this ONE letter!).

Seriously... I figured it was time to say a quick hello. Things are well here in Anchorage. I'm wrapping up my MFA in December and will be teaching a few English classes at UAA.

In other news, Annette and I ran (and finished!) the Portland Marathon. I managed to run the whole way and finished in three hours, give or take another couple hours...

As far as writing goes? The bigfoot movie seems to be in post-production hell. BUT - you can see the trailer at www.reelfilms.net

I'll let you know when the movie actually comes out on cable and at your local video store -- if that ever happens. I also hope to do a showing in Bethel and Anchorage sometime, too.

I have another script that I wrote with the director of the bigfoot movie --- called Skid Marks... it's a spoof on EMTs and Paramedics, in the vein of Super Troopers. We're getting some pretty heavy interest in the script from the studios. So of course I'll keep you up to speed with another insightful letter like this one!

And finally, one of my non-fiction essays about the haunted school house we used to live in has been published in a collection of "true" ghost stories. (Aren't they all true?) The book is part of the Haunted Encounters Series, titled GHOST STORIES FROM AROUND THE WORLD. You can order it from Amazon or wherever, but if you order from my website, or the address listed below, I will get $5 -- I'm donating $4 of every five to one of my buddies, another writer I really respect, whose wife has just been diagnosed with MS. So not only will you be reading some great ghost stories from around the world, but you'll also be helping a great cause. And the other dollar, you ask? That dollar will go towards mailing costs -- me mailing books back to you if you want one signed, and me sending manuscripts off to get published and or produced.
