Will I ever love again?

A question many of us have asked

Will I ever love again?

Can somebody tell me how to love again with a broken heart?
Will love ever be the same again?
Right now I am a shell of a woman longing to be whole once more
I want to smile and laugh
I need to feel alive again
Can someone tell me why this is hurting so deep?
Why does my heart burn at the thought of what used to be?
The feeling doesn’t change and just remains
Prayer doesn’t seem to remove or make the pain less
It sticks to me like glue
As I look outside the sun is refusing to shine
Where is the wisdom?
What lesson am I to learn?
I am too acquainted with sitting in this pit of sorrow
Wicked heartache be gone I set you free
Once more will I ever love again?

It's a wonderful release for the soul.

I can completely relate to the feelings and sentiments that you express via your verses here, Anna. If you read some of my recent poems, you will see what I mean. I wish you love, peace, and all good things,

Regis

Oh yes you will! But it takes time and a lot of distance. Oh. And a rebound man. ;) Well written poem about heartache and sorrow.
