Under One Moon

Under one moon we share silent moments of reflection
Our dance of masks in its pale light leave no question

Around night fires we huddle from ancient winds breath
Quiet observers of the flames that know no depths

White coils of cooled air rise from our combined sighs
Words are lost within the longing looks of both our eyes

Through the trees hums a distant melancholy song
Setting spirits free from the ties that once belonged

Thunder breaks the silence as lightening flashes across night skies
A gentle mist begins to fall concealing longing souls that cry

This mystic mountain wears the tears of lives long past
Feel the pulse of silent hearts beneath the meadows grass

Upon sacred ground we tread and choose to lay our heads
A wilderness that’s alive with promise is where we’re lead

Under one moon white winds blow away fears of the night
There’s no question our dance of masks are seen in it’s pale light.
