Silent Heart

Can you hear the slow pounding of my heart

Sacred drum beats within this chest walls

Sounds that would echo throughout a canyon

Like silent wings of eagles that fly high

The air alone has a pulse if one listens

Mystical flute music floats as falling feathers

The cry of Ravens as if they answer back

Wolves calling out in song to their mates

All faint and distant as if within a dream

Muted voices only felt inside your soul

Touching places that were long ago hardened

Softly caressing you within its open arms

Dare to dream of a golden life that shines

Whose glow reaches out to touch another’s heart

One who could only hear their own silent beats.
