Father, Father, I feel so worn

Father, Father, my life is torn

I want to serve you, and follow your ways

But the world has gotten me down these days

My Child, My Child, don’t give in

I am the forgiver of all your Sins

I know you get burdened, and sometimes weak

and I know it’s simply my guidance you seek

Yes, Father I need you desperately

I need so much to be set free

I have money woes, and aches and pains

Though I try to hold on, but I need a change

My child, I know, your every need

I know how desperately you want to succeed

But you’re not ready for all that yet

Your breakthrough will come, so do not fret

Father, I don’t understand

I want to wait on your master plan

I want to trust, and depend on you

But I don’t think I’ll make it through

You’ll make it, because I am near

So do not doubt, and do not fear

Just pick up my word, and you will see

How my promises can set you free

But Father the future I can’t see

How can I find my destiny?

How can I stay on path?

In the midst of the mess

How can I laugh?

My child, please just stay strong

Remind yourself of whom you belong

Be of good courage and fight the good fight

Believe in what’s unknown, with all your might

I try my Father but life is hard

I get defeated before I even start

Even when I try my best

I simply don’t feel I’m blessed

You’re blessed my child, beyond measure

Your heart, mind and soul I treasure

And every deed is not in vain

Just continue to call on my name

For there’s nothing you can’t achieve

Ask my child, you shall receive

Knock and walk in open doors

For it’s you my child that I adore

I’m adorned, how can that be?

But Father, I’m just plain old me

I haven’t done anything great

And I have so many sins on my plate

No my child you’re brand new

So you’re plate is clean, you’ve been renewed

And you’re great because you’re meek

So today you’ll find all you seek

But Father why do you love so much?

I’ve been nothing but a crutch

For others to lean on when times get bad

But I’m the one left feeling sad

I’m sorry my child you’ve felt such stress

But some of those things are just a test

A trial that comes to make you strong

To remind you of whom you belong

A challenge to prove your will

A foundation that you must build

A journey my child destined for you

A reminder it shall pass too

Thank you Father for all you’ve been

Thank you for erasing my sins

And for carrying the cares of us all

For picking me up whenever I fall

I still don’t understand your love

But I know my strength comes from above

My Child, My child, its ok

Just continue to honor and obey

And keep your eyes stayed on Thee

And you’ll receive the Victory

For I love you more than the world could know
