Listen at all the beauty...Observe all the little things and remember. He is Good.

Bird Calls

Stephanie Storey-Morant

Outside my window I heard

Bird calls today

Tweet, tweet they sang

Come out and play

It’s a new day they rejoiced

As they sang their love song

This is the day the Lord has made

Please come sing along

Louder they cackled

To be sure that I heard

Joyfully each responded

I didn’t say a word

I just listened to their calling

Were they calling out to me?

I didn’t want to disturb them

I just simply wanted to see

What was all the excitement?

Outside my windowpane

Were they trying to wake me?

Were they calling out my name?

As I listened in Silence

Peace filled the whole place

These early morning birdcalls

Brought a smile upon my face

Because these birds had no worries

No doubts or no fears

These birds doing the calling

Had no reason for tears

For God had awakened them

And their needs he had met

And from the sound of their rejoicing

He hadn’t failed them yet

So instantly I smiled again

At the lesson they had taught

God knows all our needs

So be thankful for what you got

Just be thankful for where you are

For the Sparrow He loves too

If he gave them a song to sing

Won’t he do the same for you?

All one has to do is look about them and see the Beauty that God has made. How can people look about them and proclaim "There is no God" is something that I will never understand. I choose to believe, and I choose to look at all the beautiful things our Heavenly Father has made. Very uplifting inspirational piece you have penned today, Stephanie; very well done! BRAVA!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

What a lovely, uplifting poem! It could be a song. You've called our attention to a wonderful lesson found in the songs of the birds. I like "from the sound of their rejoicing, He hadn't failed them yet"
A well-written exposition of your openness to God's messages in His small creatures.

Karma Bank to Following By Listening by Chiemi

These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
