My relationship with God is

Warm, inviting and strong

If he had not called my name

I’d still be all alone

If he had not accepted me

Every fault, failure and stain

I would not have realized

He could erase my every pain

If I had not opened up

To let him change my ways

I’d walk the earth unaware

As if walking in a maze

If my creator had not heard my cry

And come to wipe my tears

I’d still be wandering lost

Struggling with my fears

If I didn’t know my Savior

The way I do today

I’d have nowhere to cast my cares

and have no reason to pray

So my relationship with God

Means the world to me

Cause if he hadn’t rescued me

My soul wouldn’t be free
