Sultry evenings with the sun set below
A perfumed flower gripped lightly in hand
Set aside the drones of life from before
And fill the emptiness with the unknown.
Eyes that meet thine in an eternal stare
While lusting hands grip tightly around thee.
A kiss on the neck means more than mere words
As passion drains from thy flesh into his.
Forever his, thy heart is enamored.
Though love has been left unsaid, lust blisters.
A soul not given but a body drawn
To the setting sun and sultry evenings.
More than the heating of the daylight hour,
The idea lies yearning with power.
Exquisitely and romantically written - well-done ... very much enjoyed this poem!
