Eternal world wonder waterway hallowed in fame,

Evolved of an 11,000 year old Ice Age retreating glacier,

God Almighty's emerging changing processes,

Of freezing and thawing, wrenching and resting,

Made into a creation, Trent and Severn watershed,

Renowned a hundred years its magnificent name.

Trent-Severn Waterway,

Stretching three hundred and eighty six kilometers through central Ontario,

From your famed waterway's gateway, Lock One, Trenton, by the Bay of Quinte,

Through your series of lakes. canals, and locks to Lock 45, Port Severn, Georgian Bay,

Where Lake Huron's awesome great lake water presides like a judge over life and death,

Deciding what water levels it will mobilize to its humanity, environment and aspects,

And how its glacier water will make this year's Trent-Severn Waterway scenario.

Trent-Severn Waterway,

In 1615, Samuel de Champlain, the first white man to travel your waterway,

Entered Mohawk and Huron Aboriginal Peoples territories where the fur trade,

Fuelled aboriginal hatred and warfare that is recorded and educated as Canada's history,

In 1800, British and Irish immigrants settled by you and made Upper Canada's towns,

Timber barons, farmers, merchants, churches, schools, and your immense titan's wealth,

Of your altered flooded lakes, canals, dams and travelers of your navigable waterway.

Trent-Severn Waterway,

The living and dead of several billion Ontarians dwell within your domain,

As does the multi-trillionaire titannical wealth of Ontario's industries,

Parks Canada environment, aspects, persons, and Aboriginal Land Reserves,

Ontario's colleges, universities, businesses, training institutions, game act associations and all else,

They dwell by you and by a linkeage, Rideau Canal, to Ottawa, Ontario our capital city,

Where our Prime Minister, Parliament, Senate, Supreme Court, and self identities reign.

Trent- Severn Waterway,

Your centennial celebrated engineer, Richard  Birdsall Rogers,

renowned his name,

For his conscientious completion of his engineered government consignment,

Of designing, draining, digging, dragging, dredging, diverting, and harnessing of water,

Of Trent Canal kept within a phenomenon, the world famous hydraulic world wonder,

The Peterborough Lift Lock, Lock 21 of  Trent-Severn Waterway,

Has, and you, and Parks Canada, prevailed your water titan's domain, reign and fame.

It's July 9, 2004, may you, Trent-Severn Waterway and Parks Canada, be centennial celebrated and hallowed the name and fame of my great great uncle Richard Birdsall Rogers famous hydraulic world wonder, the Peterborough Lift Lock, Lock 21 of Trent-Severn Waterway, and always keep well the reign of it that all within its domain never suffer or perish. My family celebrate always with you the glory of this centennial celebration day!

Peterborough Lift Lock, Lock 21 of Trent-Severn Waterway,

Parks Canada and the City of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada,

Your dignitaries, citizens, and guests please be basked in the awe,

Of fame of one hundred years of a world wonder, and celebrate

This day, July 9, 2004,  this famous engineeered phenomenon,

Canada's Conservative government and Trent Canal engineer,

Superintendent Richard Birdsall Rogers paid and made,

For it Is centennial celebrated as the world's highest hydraulic lift lock,

That still raises and lowers water vessels a distance of 65 feet,

Within its 2, water filled hydraulic chambers,

140 feet long, 33 feet wide, and 8 feet deep,

That each bear a weight of 1,844 tons of water and boats,

Within each chamber's 228,093 imperial gallons of water.

May your lockmasters always open your cross-over valve,

Connecting your massive 7 1/2  foot diameter rams so your

Upper chamber becomes over-balanced by a foot of water

Of Trent Canal, and it be stopped for and taken in that your

Upper chamber travels downward and forces your opposite

Chamber upward 65 feet, and your giant hinged gates and

Interlocking grooves slide into their retaining gates that

Your chamber and canal gates lock, and pivot underwater,

That boats may enter and leave you to Trent-Severn Waterway's

44 other flight, conventional and hydraulic locks, dams, rivers and

Its 7,031 square miles of watershed of eternal glacier's domain,

May billions bask in your world wonder's hallowed name and fame.

The Promise of a Man and Woman

Our Kingdom made shall always reign.
