I could have been an eagle
If the turkeys who surrounded me
Hadn’t plucked me clean of feathers
With constant criticism and insults.
I would have been an eagle
If I hadn’t been caged in by
Rules and regulations
And the expectations of others.
I should have been an eagle
Allowed to soar the great sky
But responsibility and duty
Tied me to the ground.
I am an eagle flying proud and high
Riding on the winds of imagination
My wings are my pens creating beauty,
Love, laughter and tears with each stroke.
Well said and a beautifully done.

When I first came to AD, I was frightened, because of the nature of my stories and poems. But those that have read my works, have been there with advice, acceptance, love, and ready to read another poem or story. To me that is the most important thing in the world. Thnx Bobbi for being there for me. May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

Soaring inspiration--excellently expressed! Yes. Saving this one.
No more making excuses--ever onward.

This is a golden page of poetic magnificence glowing as a social-ontological and philosophical composition to enrich
The American Fine Letters; to add colors to The Major Art, and to
glorify the history of Poetry.
I salute You, Sublime Poet!
