The Rising Sun

The sun has risen once again chasing away the dark of night,

It once again is providing earth with God’s gift of warmth and light.

That warmth makes life possible on earth

It has been part of our world since it’s very birth.

The light allows us to move with ease and grace,

That’s important because we tend to go from place to place.

Every form of life is mobile in one form or another

Because standing still too long seems our souls to smother.

So we begin moving even before our birth.

It’s one of the things that gives life its worth.

So, my friend, when you see the golden orb in the sky

Be happy, it’s a sign that the world has not gone awry.

It’s a symbol that God is still in heaven and alive,

allowing humankind to thrive.
