a very short poem.
BOY Legs drawn up so deeply asleep. Teddy and precious crocodile close by, it touches me. Eyelids tight sealed lips parted. So still, head on your arm, a flutter of gentle breath. I sit on your bed, observing. You will never be this young again And I? I will always be old to you, my child
