The President of the United States of America…POTUS

Is holding a Press Conference… Delivering a Speech

I cannot see him, but I can hear him

The Voice…

Is the voice of a BLACK MAN… like my grandfathers, father and husband

Basso, vibrato…

Confident, assured, soothing, measured…

Intelligent, thoughtful, exuding verbal dexterity… speaking truth to power

Except HE IS the POWER

The Voice of The President of the United States of America

No need to hit the MUTE feature on the remote any more

The Voice is speaking to me and I want to hear it…

Listen to the tones and rhythms of the voice of a BLACK MAN

Like my husband’s… and all the other BLACK MEN who have spoken

The Voice…

Resounding with poetry, flourishes of the music and cadences of my people

[[No more fractured, illiterate, misunderestimated, idiotic prose]]

The Voice has made… is making history

Like so many other black voices before him

And he walks like a BLACK MAN too…

Know what I mean?

That full court press basketball swagger

[[No more bowlegged dry drunk co*W*boy stagger]]

At Last…

I think I can relax now… at least for this moment in… HISTORY
