Some listen, read and never say a word :-) I think many times we have a greater audience then we are aware of. Wonderful write on the frustrations of being a writer.

Well done, Gwen. A fine lament and poem.

Poetry is like a fine wine, you have to develop a taste for it and know the difference between good work from bad. We have both here at AD. Some don't care, and some are genuinely interested in poetry and you can see the richness of their work develop with each posting as they become more confident with the feedback. Some too, get really upset with any feedback, which makes me wonder why they are here, when that little box at the bottom of the screen specifically askes "what do you think..."

As a poet, it is a joy to see someone working at their craft and truly enjoying the writing process, whether prose or poetry.

I also see poets post here and make no effort to visit other poets and read their work. [If that is done, believe me, poets will reciprocate.] They post and 'wait' to be discovered. Good marketing of any product is to let people know you are there.

Thanks for a fine read today. Your work is good. Bravo.
