Walking in the morning,
With the Lord by my side.
The sun heats my soul,
As Spring is in full stride.

Animals are excited;
Another Winter is come and gone.
Graciously I greet Him,
When we meet at the dawn.

Morning birds are singing.
Ringing in a blessed day.
Communing side by side,
He listens while I pray.

The smell of renewed
Incense,
Fills the morning air.
The world is forgotten,
As He begins to share.

So peaceful is the atmosphere,
This special time of year.
My Companion listens intently,
For between us is no fear.

A walk with Him each morning,
Satisfies my heart.
Longing hinders my soul,
When I have to depart.
