The Sparkling Man
Drying himself after his shower
he noticed that his skin was sparkling
and he thought that it was because of his
positive attitude
or the curried chicken rice he had last night
for dinner.
When he went outside and the sun shone on him
he was like walking diamonds.
For attracting women it was better than wearing
Cologne.
Men were uncomfortable around him.
They would have preferred that he was tattooed.
His mother told him to see a doctor.
His boss said that he made him sneeze.
Stress was non-existent.
He had only to look at the sparkle on his hands
to know that his future was bright.
When he shook his head
the room was filled with cosmic confetti.
At night he was a dancing galaxy
the streetlight was his moon.
