Shall my traced Firefly essence,
breathe beyond tomorrow, when I stand yes, stilled in time?
Legacy of Simple
I've known
yes,
but one dream
in my passage
of years
a legacy bequeathed
in life marching in
tears
I know not who'll
pant, long
nor hunger for
my gift
left strewn
in my retreat
for none
drank of her
fullness
in my parade
of time lived
so I imagine few
shall covet her
when my earth lies
stirred no more
I deemed her
once of value
glimmering slightly
as she swayed
Ah, my treasure
I clutch close,
to hear brave whisperd
in hush
shall another tenderly
cradle her
as I have,
when I sniff at the wind
no more
Some inherit
riches,
untold and standing
tall
yet my gift wrapped
more simply
no such ribbon to adore
for all that I have
and all that I am
are simply the essence
my words whispered
whilst they stand
I bequeath them
to all, or to none if
so be
for they remain all I am
in remembrance
traced of me
shall they see me
and like me
when I stand
stilted in stilled
word
I know only
I passed
yes unnoticed
when I stood
in their reach
So I shall cast
into the air
yes,
to the wind
these few words
in the hopes
that they'll trail me
in times
morrows
distant birth.

"are simply the essence
my words whispered" sssslides off the toungue and captures the "essence" of your talent. Mal.
Legacy of Simple" is simply a legacy of an everlasting psychobiology, including the
reproduction of letters and words like the Poem "Legacy of Simple" is doing to the body
of imagination through the soul of intuition in the lake of emotion pouring into the sea of my skull.
“Legacy of Simple” is a poem that depicts what Poetry can be made of.
I Salute the Author “Legacy of Simple”.

where did simple go,,,is it already gone so far into legacy, that we can't retreive it? Hope not,,but I would have to say, land is so much more complicated than the waters,,,excellent write. You'll have to sneak at my newest poem, this almost connects with it,,,"when the old people are gone,,,

We are thinking the same thoughts I believe...You are a treasure to all who read your wonderful words....Thank you, Dani
I don't think I have gotten it all at the first reading of this poem, but I'm going to read it a few more times, then perhaps by that time I will hit my own forehead with my palm and say, "Oh I get it!"
