Yes, night stood up,
and light stood down...

Night Stood Up

Night falls
as a thief
quick and fast
stealing the day
then
dark stood up
and then yes
light stood down
timbers rattled
and
there stood sound
quieted
muted
voice strangled
by nights hushed
screaming sound
yes, night stood up
and
light stood down
all stood silent
whilst fallen hearts
lay heaped
when dark stood up
and light stood down
in her right hand
rode silence
yes hushed beyond hush
her left hand held
memory
etched in broad brush
she ushers in all
that the day swept away
leaving only
the memory
of yesterday laid straight
no man can escape her
for she flies upon doom
with raw jagged memories
once earthed
she raises too soon
she resurrects hardship
of heart stooped and low
and regards no heart
differently
neither the tattered nor torn
she sweeping in flight
her work to be done
none earthly withstand her
till the dawn births her yawn
awaken oh sun
sweep my sad heart for day

This was so lovely, how deeply I felt this one in my heart this morning, These words:

she raises too soon
she resurrects hardship
of heart stooped and low
and regards no heart
differently
neither the tattered nor torn

Just really got to me,with its beauty and poignant meaning,

Beautiful,

I like the choice of words. Well done.
