A tribute to exquisite Carla, of "Letters To Carla".....Enchanting shall you remain, upon the landscape of time, forevermore...
Hand Upon Your Heart
Lady Carla
sweeper of dreams
shadowing me
alway
my trodden path
thru time
image of childhood
planted sweet
painted snow pure
saw her not years
though the heart
stayed of same
longing
for image
scent lingering
bending over
from youth
I reached out in
death call
Humpty Dumpty fall
and all
'twas a night
steeped in grim
been years her
ear
kissed mine upon sound
she drank of
my voice
now dimmed
in burnt years
I built a staircase
of letters
my heart reaching
unto hers
Carla's
first letter ended
whispering
hand upon your heart
