Confession at Dawn

Dare I admit what she spoke
My heart, in the night seasons last
Yes, what she whispered
Upon dreams woven in tapestry
And images unearthed

Dare I confess to the wonder I have seen birthed
Upon the pillow in the depth of nights reign
A secret kept often unto us yes alone
Seldom, nay never, revealed in lites day
For we kissed upon pillow
Upon pillow shall stay

Heart wilted, quite bewildered
By our indifference to share
The glory she offered
In the second watch of night

We in demure and bashful display
Do state, alas if I told them
They would hold me at bay
Better them, than I
Cries back now my heart
Suddenly trembling
My mire now known

The heart, true compass to all that we be
She leads us and baths us as babes by the sea
She whispers upon nighttime,
And into the day, her yearning transparent,
Though some say yes, gray

She boldly confesses
That which we knew
Whilst her sermons yes linger
Till the sun melts the dew

Confessions of morning
Dare I breath what she said,
Spoken or not
Her words remain not dead
Shun her we may,
For it be in our might
Yet the candle she holds
Will burn always bright

Escape her, I think not
Why even try
For her night season fire cry
Wont melt in the day
So confess her I must,
Wed to heart I must stay.

Simply amazing! I keep wanting to climb inside your words, as though doing that I could get even closer to them, to what they "feel" like.. perhaps what appears in the dictionary next to the word "poet" should simply just read your name. This is beyond beautiful, Rodney. katy.

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani
