Firefly of Flight Where ridest my joy I cry The yearning of my soul A lifetime in anguish still rests Where ridest my joy this day Upon which hemmed cloud Does it rest Awaiting my blink of command By whose authority does she bow indeed Alas my tattered heart so torn Wretched man I be Birthed in infirmity Bred to display Born of no woman By name that I bear Known of no father No name bequeathed me No rutter of root To guide My walk and dance of night No candle by night which to warm Where flies my joy this night Where buried is she By breath of day I dwindle in time Mark me fair maiden for I still remain here Awaiting a touch That I felt long ago Sigh, whispers remembered Tattle telling my soul My heart almost emptied All hope like pitcher poured out Yet night window awaits me Your breath in the wind Strike my heart this night Thunder lite blazing in bright Make me the Firefly who soars in the night For grace overshadows her escapades of flight Stilt now my heart a wilt Whilst I search the nighttime glow Find me quickly dear maiden Be swift I pray thee. I held my breath as I read this is beautiful
"Strike my heart this night
Thunder lite blazing in bright
Make me the Firefly who soars in the night
For grace overshadows her escapades of flight

Stilt now my heart a wilt
Whilst I search the nighttime glow
Find me quickly dear maiden
Be swift I pray thee. "
