The Wind Howls

The wind howls, I am within, the trees move, dance and sway
'Tis my breath that blows them in subtle array
I march upon thunder, inside lightning I gleam
I am wind dancing and thunder, riding lightning's bright gleam
I'm windswept desert wilderness one of the same

I breathe upon babes when they first do appear
They inhale my essence as lite angel hair
I ride upon closed windows, yet hearts open unto me
I am Mr Light Dancing, this night upon sea
With freedom in my right hand, riding with me

I am wet upon desert, lite touch upon your lips
I'm old song of remembrance, new song of dance
For I am your yesterday yet whispered into today
I am your heart a glittering tall inside me
It is your breath as freedom I do clutch in right hand

I am both warrior and prince, men know me of old
For I drank in the wilderness, when it was yet old
I have marched upon battlefields of new, young and old
I have been seen in the graveyards remembering the old.
My name is sunset, I live upon time

Wind blows mighty, exciting my heart
For thunder I have, yet my heart none to hold
I seek from the west, an entrance of she, the only...yes who knows me
For solitude follows a warrior such as I
Blow wind, so mighty and strong, in windsong blow her gently to me

Indian Princess standing so tall, I await on a mountain all covered in snow
It melts as I do, in heated passion of soul, thirsting for dreamworks, waters a flow
I lay myself down, prostrate upon snow, here I await you, my eyes affixed upon you
For in the unnumbered starred heavens, 'tis where I see you
I will await through the winter, of a hundred years right here, yes waiting for you

Indian Princess, I was born just for you..........

This is simply marvellous. The force and power of storms, of nature unbridled, tamed for your own purpose.

So many wonderful lines in this piece but, being the romantic that I am, I love the last line the best.

"With freedom in my right hand riding with me".. That one stopped me, distracted me from myself.. popped the lid off of my own gloom.. You always take me flying, with landings as smooth as sighs. I needed to get away.. thank you. katy.

This first part was great, until the Indian Princess arrive and disrupted your poet thoughts. Women can have that effect.

Rodney,
again just beautiful.
"They inhale my essence as lite angel hair
I ride upon closed windows, yet hearts open unto me
I am Mr Light Dancing, this night upon sea
With freedom in my right hand, riding with me "
This one shopuld be a movie like Dances of the Wolves.

So beautiful, so very lovely, how much these words touch me:

For in the unnumbered starred heavens, 'tis where I see you
I will await through the winter, of a hundred years right here, yes waiting for you

So lovely, such a love as one could only dream of,

Excellent,

Reindeer
