Wee Knock in The Night

Yea, I hear her wee knock of night
She has visited me oft of recent years
Yet, most desire deeply not, to hear her knock
Yet the wise man hears, listens and bows
Though none shriek in glee, when she comes a knocking

Yea, she has many faces, yet only one stench
Yes, look away quickly, yes, one and all!
From I and she, yes one of the same be we
Yes, you smell her scent upon me, do you not?
Yes, I know the fragrance is not sweet to the pallet

Yet I protest most highly to this indifference
For surely my heart hath need
To weep upon parchment my friend so close
For surely she knows only my travail to well
For it is my tears that stain her cheek so lite

Yea, they loved me when I stood tall as a king
They rallied round me when I laughed upon time
Yes, when I danced in bronze wonder under the moon
They surrounded me close to catch the glitter aglow
Where now be these, as I lay alone this day undone

I bound up their children, put food is their mouths
I fought as their champion for every just cause
A warrior yes, standing tall among men
I held their hand when they left in time
I was their friend and protector, where lay they this sad day in time?

I kissed their hearts, mended and cradled their very souls
Alas, my friends, where hidest thee now?
Sigh, I know you shall not come, I did always know
Alas, friends, I always knew you
Inhale, exhale, inhale... knock on the door

Indian Princess, I await you at the door.......exhale

My dearest Rodney,
Beauty is the verse left from your heart for me to see. Truly magnificent! What splendid emotion paints the portrait of my mind.

...knock, knock, knock, she turns and escapes with the breeze ~Dana~

Ah, yes, my dear Rodney.. time and life itself have their way with us all.. we appeal to others in so many ways.. and lose our appeal to those only able to see the surface. You, my wandering word master, are timeless because what you give appeals to what we carry far beneath the surface.. pluck the deepest flower and offer it to the kindest friend.. the rest be gone! I felt this one way way inside.. I heard it. katy.

You have aroused my passion for justice. For that I thank you. The progression is excruciatingly bold. And the ending... Perfection!

How you stir the deepest feelings. How is that, it is the truth I say. The truth I hear and know and feel in your words. Where are they then? Where are the friends? I wonder. Am always glad to read your words, am always in awe of your gift of hearing. Thank you for answering the Wee Knock.

You make those butterfiles come back....oh, I remember being on the recieving end of that door. The reason why women wait so long to answer is because they are not pacing... well, maybe a little, they are still primping and figure if you are worthy of her... you will wait. And your palms will sweat! LOL

This is great!

Thanks,

Teresa
