A man I met,
felt tattered and worn.
But unto his life,
a love yet unborn.
His hopes for love,
a gift not yet shown
From his lips to God's ears,
awaiting the unknown.
A love he had given,
but not yet returned
Shattered his heart
and deeply it burned...
for the love he was searching for
was still unreturned
His heart was broken
and his stomach churned.
Deep in despair,
isolating himself
putting his heart
way back on the shelf
refusing to go on
and seek help
he lived his own hell
and kept love on that shelf.
Yearning for love
to give and to take
blinded by sadness
and hurtful mistakes
behind his smile
that was glass-like and fake
lie many decisions
he had to make.
Whenever you need me
my dear, dear friend
im here with you
until the end
together we will
overcome the sea
and live life
as it is meant to be.
