If time could travel back,
The gray of my hair
Would tomorrow turn dark
And of dying, I would not care.

It goes making shabby
What we don’t want to be,
Seeing the young grow old
And the old die cold.

And will never return our yesterdays
Which memories lost their ways
In the allies of the past,
For ever they cannot last.

Imperceptible, it slips between our fingers,
Second by second, minute by minute
Marking in our hair the disasters
Aging goes setting bit by bit.

No one grows younger,
Perhaps stronger
Till he reaches the border
To leave for ever

Time is like the leaves
From the tree fallen,
As long as it lives
Back nothing can fasten.

Brother of the night,
It runs noiseless
With its peace and darkness
Toward a new day or a new light.

One way the rivers go,
One way young and old follow
To attain their final goal
In the bed of a hole

It goes like lightning,
In nowhere disappearing
Towards its new address
From where it will never regress.

It is like my yesterday’s soul
In my body full of laughter
But will never be the same later
flying in another fowl.

The train we go in,
One way is traveling
At a stop some get out, some get in
But it never stops running,

Born to disappear!
This law applies to all
Until we become a souvenir
For those in the new cycle enroll.
