My Lover My Friend sustains

me when I am all used up

and feeling all alone.

In the darknest of night

I fall asleep knowing

that He is there.

My Lover My Friend

who gave His only Son

to die just for me.

He was bruised, humiliated

and put to shame just for me.

He suffered reproach

just for me, my Lover my Friend

loves me that much.

Yet sometimes I am non

responsive to His gentle touch

allowing circumstances to over ride.

It is during these times that

I become despondent

because these are the times

that I miss His purpose!

I am so glad that He

never gives up,

and that His Love comes

through wooing after me.

Awakening the truth concealed

within.

Words cannot express His Love

for me, He is My Lover My Friend.

He unlocks His treasures

buried within,

to display His Love

to  a lost and a dying world.

the one whose Love has
