I grow with my words,
each and every day
and each and every day
I come to a new road.
Never coming to the end of the road,
at least not yet,
it’s not my destiny.
The only thing to figure out
is which road will take me there
and how long it will take me to get there
I’m not sure,
but I let my feet do the walking
'cause sometimes getting there a little slower
gets me there faster
Someone took the fast route,
but, discovered it was more of headache
and it took longer to get there
from the short distance started.
I don’t mind
if I let my words gently soak into your soul
because then
softly my words are like the journey
that was well worth the feet traveled
and the distance for you to come back
won’t be far
and you'll keep coming back
and you'll want more
