In my car passing by
I see I'm close, but
my feet pace slow and
looking at the distance
in my mind, I'm passing
you by because my
heart knows that
you are still too far
Wondering if the feet below
the mid stumble slow and
a slight hesitation finds a way
back to the distance travelled
and somehow I know
that today I might not get there
Then a news flash appears and
I'm trying to get back to
the place I come from, and
although, your waiting,
don't count on me 'cause I won't
be coming there
There is where you are,
and where you are
I haven't been there yet
Don't count before I get there,
getting there I'll never come there
So don't do me no favors perpertrating
preplexity that's turning the soul
of glitter to gloom
And don't wait not knowing
'cause if I never told you,
then now must be too late and
you've been waiting for something
that will never come
My heart knows that
you are still too far
