Great questions...thoughts to ponder.
A few weeks back, I pondered the thought... Who or what validates who I am? (Your thoughts here in this poem very similar to questions I asked of myself.) Do I let people validate my worth? Do I let "things" validate who I am and how I act? Validation...where does it come from...my thoughts on validation..not necessarily concluding thoughts, but my thinking for now. Validation of who I am always comes from within... it goes deep into that very core of what drives me to be me. I can allow others or things to validate me, but those same things or others can turn me into someone that I'm not. All comes down to me and what I carry within and what I consider worth validating for myself.
Your thoughts here in this poem, led me back to what is within today, thank you for your writing. Windswept
