My one minute gift of life was bestowed upon
me serendipitously. In my prexistent state I
didn't ask for or expect my one-minute in time.
On reflection, in my state of innocence, I was
doing just fine. Whether or not I would be better
off now had I remained in the celestial realm I do
not know, but I have been granted a one minute
gift of life in time and the opportunity to be the
one minute manager of my life. I can choose to
be grateful for it and use it wisely or bemoan the
fact that I was born and abuse it. If I use my one
minute wisely I will be richly rewarded. If I abuse
my one minute I will suffer.
The second hand on my one minute clock is
ticking away. At times it seems as if time really
flies. And I am reminded that whatever I have
to do I need to do it in the eternal now.
I surmise that the Creator gave me only one
minute, not nine hundred and sixty-nine years
like he gave Methuselah, because He knew
that was all the time I could handle during my
sojourn in the realm called mortality.
I resolve to be grateful for my one minute and
to do all the good I can, in all the ways I can, in
every second that I have. I know that encroached
in every second there is eternity where higher
compensations await me than this world can
afford.
