We need to keep SHAME alive! That's why I write this poem for a reminder....!
*Shame, where is it gone, it’s a shame* No one seems to know, it’s such a shame In these days some of us don’t know shame They are making it become quite a fantasy Even so, to have lost shame it’s a big shame It’s not right for us to void our world of shame While some people would like to get rid of it With many of us it’ll ever find a place of refuge Even if, others will kill it for fame and fortune We know having no shame is still a big shame It reveals dishonesty but will improve virtue It’s not right for us to void our world of shame It’s an essential guide to induce us to be genuine Usually it disfigures or dampens wrongdoer’s face It has great power that can change countenance Revealing all types of misconduct and injustice We will always need it to live a righteous lifestyle It’s not right for us to void our world of shame Though seeing how many people are behaving Shamefully they might’ve already killed shame Since only those of us who know what shame* is* Won’t easily do or say things to make us ashamed We try to live right for the sake of righteousness It’s not right for us to void our world of shame. AMEN, CLARENCE! CERTAINLY YOUR POINT IS WELL TAKEN IN THAT SHAME CAN BE A TOKEN BY WHICH WE ARE CONVICTED OF SIN WHEN WE HAVE DONE SOMETHING WRONG. WRONG IN THOUGHT, WORD, ACTION OR DEED. TO IGNORE SHAME OR REFUSE TO FEEL SHAME IN INSTANCES SUCH AS YOU HAVE BROUGHT TO LIGHT, CERTAINLY CAN BE SEEN AS THE INABILITY TO ADMIT WRONG. AND THIS SORT OF SHAMELESSNESS IS, AS YOU HAVE STATED...WORLD WIDE. BUT THIS INDICATES SOMETHING THAT THE BIBLE CLEARLY STATES WILL BE. FOR THE END IS NEAR, CLARENCE AND WE, AS CHRISTIANS, CAN ONLY PRAY. FOR WE KNOW THAT ALMIGHTY GOD ALREADY KNOWS THE END AND HE IS STILL VERY MUCH IN CHARGE. Guilt and shame are important feelings that need to be understood. They are a garanty that people are trying to deal with typically human questions, of feeling guilty and ashamed. So, they have a conscience and don't live in total indifference.

I also agree and I add that respect is what is missing. Shame is what folks should feel when we don't treat one another with respect, care and consideration.

great write clarence...god knows our shame and is waitng for us to admit and ask for his forgivenes...this generation we find ourselves in doesn't recognize what shame is

You're right on all points. We've just about banned judges that give sentences according to the crime. A little shame never hurt anybody. Put a sign on them �Shame on you.�
