I AM A WEALTHY MAN

Fortunes are won and lost through out our lives; some measure themselves by toys and bank accounts.

But, not long ago, I saw a new way, one that served me better that those other ways.

I became aware of my life and the people within; I now see the wealth in the beauty that surrounds us in life.

Sunny days with clear blue skies, children playing with heart warming smiles.

The richness in friendships and the serenity of love, what an achievement in my life that discovery was.

Absorbing the honesty between people and words so sincere, the whispers shared between lovers, so soft and most dear.

I have inherited my fortune; I am truly blessed with its gifts, to become aware of my surroundings after all of my years.

I now invest my feelings in people and my reward is to enjoy their  many returns.
