a return to my roots of sanity

Hello my old friend

It’s the end of my day, and a long hard one it was too.

People and phone calls, with questions and problems, all waiting to be solved.

My ride home was filled with an impatient quiet, like the eye of the storm.

Then hitting my driveway, oh yes, the inner sanctum of home.

Some unsatisfying food, then it’s straight to my chair.

Eagerly opening the cover of my book, all of my days hassles will wait until tomorrow’s dawn.

Tonight it’s my time all alone with this friend, an escape to some where far, far away.

Now it’s time to catch my breath, give myself a break, tomorrow will be here soon enough and it will be time to start again.

Bear

Visions of A Skylark Dressed in Black by Aberjhani
