taking a warm feeling to sleep with me

                     RED SKY AT NIGHT

             SAILORS DELIGHT

Go near any dock, wharf, or boat yard and hear these famous words.

A line from a poem or so I’m told, I’ve never heard the whole thing, just a couple of lines or so.

A red sky at night is a sailor’s delight? Okay, I’m not sure why, but, if you say.

Let’s see and figure out why, when the day has passed and it’s turning its light to dark.

I’ve noticed a cascade of yellow turning to magenta’s and crimson sneaking a last glimpse through the clouds of white accented with the most beautiful grays and blues with soft shadow outlines.

This is where the sky softly kisses the land and creates the horizon within our eyes.

Is this our worlds open hearted hug to warm our souls, telling us tomorrow will be alright?

These warm magenta’s and crimson show me the warmth of life’s soul and in turn allow me to lay my head down and smile, it was good to be alive.

Tonight, I was blessed with the most majestic sight, how could tomorrow be anything less?

So is this just a sailor’s delight, not in my world and definitely not tonight.

Bear
