What is beauty?
It could be so many things,
really speaking,
and if it really is
in the eye of the beholder,
then is beauty the same
to everyone?
I'll run a few ideas by you...
You know when you hold a baby
that's sleeping, and breathing
in that soft whisper
that you can feel, just
a warm ripple in the air...
You know the way they look?
Just gently sighing
with a sleeping peace,
and it's as though innocence
is just there,
clutched in their fingers,
fluttering on their wispy eyelashes,
or maybe just resting in their
smooth, flawless skin.
Beauty is innocence.
Perhaps beauty is to be found
in the eyes
they say that the eyes,
are the window to the soul,
so surely, if the eyes are beautiful,
the soul is beautiful too...
Have you ever watched somebody
when they're smiling,
laughing,
their eyes, so full of
unhidden, natural,
beauty,
if only for a moment.
Magic is when beauty shines through,
without the aid of
mascara, contacts and false lashes.
Beauty is natural.
Beauty could be the fine art
of being
flawlessly,
wonderfully,
unquestionably,
yourself,
but without calling yourself
beautiful.
Beauty is human.
