I look into the sky tonight
and I can't see a star,
I pause just for a second
to wonder where they are.
Hidden in a cloudy cloak,
far beyond the skies,
uncaught in expectant gaze,
unseen by wonderous eyes.
I looked into the shadows
and stepped into the crystal night,
and felt the chilling air
that fell beneath the dim moonlight.
I breathed a heavy breath
and watched in silence as the sky
filled itself with perfect stars
putting to ease my troubled mind.
A sky without stars seems to me,
imperfect, too much so to be,
a normal night in normal way
as sunbeams stolen from the day.
Very nice, Charley.
Always remember...just because you can't see it, doesn't mean it isn't there. Kind of like a good friend.
