If I knew my enemy
Like I feel the energy
That comes from the chemistry
That deforms my biology
Then I would know my enemy
Lacks the synergy
To live longer than need be
I know that my enemy
Like my family
Holds the animosity
Toward me physically
Then I could hold my enemy
Close to me eternally
But never externally
Could never be that friendly
To anything internally
It’s my idiosyncrasy
A peculiarity
I am my own worst enemy
