Come lie with me on September grass
to remake the dreams of days long past;
let us heavenward gaze on swirling shapes
ever-changing in their billowy escapes.
Can you spy the majesty hidden in the forms?
God speaks to us as they move and conform.
The meaning is ours, and ours alone,
as we decipher the sky’s vast unknown.
Do you see happiness or do you see pain?
Is that glory above or merely the mundane?
Can you soar with their patterns, lost in the bliss,
or are you weighted down in a deadening abyss?
Lighten your heart as you hold my hand.
Join our souls; let our visions expand.
Open yourself to possibilities
suspended in cotton celestial seas.
Angels soar in clouds of white,
fairies and butterflies, dance in delight.
Share my vision, my world of love,
cast your gaze to the sky above.
Come lie with me on September grass
to remake the dreams of days long past;
in the cool of the breeze let us lift our eyes
as our spirits meld and our hearts arise.

So beautiful!
I love it. It speaks of what's important. Hope. Beauty within the ordinary. Gotta slow down and celebrate the gifts that are all around us.
Awesome write!

What a magical invitation, Leysa! Who could resist? I love the way your poem flows in rhythm and rhyme. Love and peace to you.
Sweet as the smell of the last hay cutting of the summer. Well did.
