I, there,
Breath held fast,
Percipient
To union of
Adam’s tumultuous skies,
Eve’s billowy clouds.
The tease of
Thunder and lightening,
An electrical charge,
Impregnating
Fat round droplets,
Indigo hues infused,
Falling
Gently to the ground.
I sigh.
Momentarily mesmerized,
I listen to
The patter of ten thousand tiny footsteps,
The giggle of water spouts,
The chuckle of storm drains,
The melodies of air-born babies
Playing out the end
Of another soggy summer day.
I,
Gazing out my window,
I
Watch as two sated lapis lovers
Smile contentedly over head,
Color my world
In a grey-blue mist,
Paint twilight
In blue-violet landscapes
Festooned with
Cool, wet leaves,
Rain-soaked flowers,
And matted grass.
And I,
Dreaming now
In prismatic reflection,
Decked out in my
Navy blue pajamas,
Silently observe as
Oceans, rivers
And puddles sleep,
This tranquil world
Tinted aquamarine.
Everything
Waiting patiently
Until
Open skies of morning
Flash in cobalt iridescence.
And then,
And then,
There she is,
Another sunny day!
Sunrise
Beaming,
Sapphire eyes smiling,
In peasant dress,
Cerulean,
Bejeweled
In turquoise rings
And crystal-blue cut-glass beads.
Kissing me forward,
Caressing me,
Carrying me to azure heights,
Forget-me-nots,
And blue... wonderful!
