I buy my clothes at thrift shops.
I know their owners all by name.
I prefer my attire recycled.
There’s nothing wrong with sharing things.
I don’t care if my clothes are cast offs.
I wore my brother’s hand-me-downs.
As long as collars aren’t too frayed,
As long as cuff don’t drag the ground.
There’s no reason to be embarrassed.
I know the price will bring a smile.
And though I might be dressed for the ‘70s,
Sooner or later I’m back in style!
I love the attitude expressed in this poem. It shines like a well-worn denim that people pay big bucks for to have brand-new products abused to look used… Go figure?

I love the thrift shops and do much of my shopping there. Why pay top prices for quality when you can get the same quality for a fraction ...and it has to be better than all that cheap polyester.
