See your king comes to you
righteous and victorious
lowly riding on a donkey
the crowds arrive so curious

they carry palm branches in hand
they lay down cloaks before
and sing Blessed He who comes
who comes in the name of the Lord

and walking there beside Him
old Lazarus new raised from dead
the people sing Hosanna
and follow Him where'er he led

and though He knows the prophesy
knows of the end in store for Him
a voice comes out of heaven
said I will glorify again

the multitude stands by
and said an angel spake
and Jesus says not for me alone
but for you all and for your sakes

for now's the judgment of this world
the Son of Man shall be cast out
and I be lifted up from earth
to draw all men unto myself

and while the light's among you
walk out walk out of what is night
that darkness overtake you not
that ye may be the sons of light

and through the ages to this time
we call this day Palm Sunday
that ye may seek and ye shall find
redemption in Him one day
