hope the Word is not a fraud

the preacher stands down in a well
and promises heaven but not hell

but to him it's only a job

the heathen are slaughtered in the sand
under the one true Prophet's command
and the one eyed man in the land of the damned
is no more than a demagogue

the faithful are faithful to God knows what
they know not what evil they may cause
and shower evangelists with their applause
and the clock just goes tick tock tick tock

the will of God is a terrible thing
the will of God will make you sing
the will of God beyond wrong or right
whether it means your soul or your life

the battle is yours to win or lose
but which side you may not choose
good and evil might look the same
when sky is nothing blood and rain
