as tender grass from earth is springing
shining green and proud

if I were not right with God
and ordered in all things
He'd not have made the covenant
that brought me everything

and to fruition my salvation

as on his deathbed lay
the second King of Israel
three thousand years away

and though his message's only heard
through pages in the past
still we can understand the Word
the Word is all that lasts

so have no fear be not afraid
for He who loves us all
will raise up kings and cast down slaves
but to death we all must fall
