CROCODILE PEOPLE song lyrics
by Joel Sattler

I woke from a dream
and my city was gone
I was the only one left
to carry on
crawled out of shelter
the last to survive
who knows how much longer
I'll be let alive

the streets filled with rubble
the towers fall
the shadows of the incinerated
burned into the walls
and then over the park
came the zombie kind
eyes wide open
but blank and blind

crocodile people
damn their eyes
crocodile people
it's no disguise
eyes without faces
teeth without lips
moving in a world
that's been blown to bits
skin so white
all the blood's been bled
staggering around
like the walking dead

I went to the river
but the boats were all gone
I waded from the shore
swimming to the dawn
but I could not escape
the awful smell
of ten million souls
who had gone to hell

a boat picked me up
and we sailed away
hoping to live
at least one more day
but every place
that we try to make land
the living death is waiting
in the world of the damned

crocodile people
damn their eyes
crocodile people
it's no disguise
eyes without faces
teeth without lips
moving in a world
that's been blown to bits
skin so white
all the blood's been bled
staggering around
like the walking dead

crocodile people
crocodile people
crocodile people
damn their eyes

That's the first time I've heard zombies being called, "crocodile people." I must admit to having been sucked into these very human stories of people dealing with zombies who come mindlessly to attack everyone and bring everything down in the process. Cool stuff but not very realistic.

Based on the popularity of zombies, this could be a big hit like, "The Monster Mash," with the right voice like Boris Karloff. ;-)
