another winter work
upon the forest floor, enveloping the moldering debris of busy seasons, the snow lies deep new fallen, pure upon the snow the moon’s light lies bright essence of pure illumination upon the moonlit snow beneath the trees, ready to flee or to bless, silence waits into the bright dark forest I go seeking the blessing of silence in the snow
