For centuries Christians have blamed the Crucifixtion on the Jews. A small mischief with horrendous consequences...
But if you read the Gospel accounts the evidence points to a different conclussion . . .

Crucifixion was Rome’s way

Powerful message. Sad how things get twisted so badly that few will ever know the real truth. This is why I say I believe in the Spirit but I do not believe in the bible.
I think the most profound way the Jews have been blamed for Jesus death was by the invention of the fictional character Judas Iscariot.
"Judas" is the Greek spelling of "Judah"-the nation of the Jews.
Some 15 to 20 years after Jesus death Paul wrote these words in 1 Corinthians 15:5- "And then he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve."
Paul without question thought Jesus rose from the dead and appeared to "The twelve." He had no knowledge of any betrayal, or anyone named Judas. That idea was yet to enter Christian history.
And what did Judas betray? He only seems to have helped locate Jesus, and strangely enough- point out which person in the group was Jesus. How could that help have been necessary? After all Jesus did, and the impact he made- those after him would need somebody to point out which one in the group was Jesus?
I don't think so.
I think the truth of what actually happened two thousand years ago actually can be discovered more than most would imagine, but only by sifting through the clues. And if you don't take the clues as clues, but accept them as face value facts-you are not living in the real world.
Most unfortunately of all, you are also missing the real Jesus.
I need the real Jesus more than the package being sold.
I don't buy it.

Have not the Jews been blamed for alot of stuff over the centuries, they seem the perfect scapegoat, why I know not, but everyone from the communists to the nazis to the Palastinians blame the jews for all the worst they can conjure up...if the world were to go along with that belief, we could blame the jews for too much of something and too little of something else...excellent points made here, John, I enjoyed this...Ed

But if we really want to blame soemone it is God the Father who sacrificed His Son as the one way to put sin to death forever.It was Creator's plan nad Jesus accepted it!The others were just pawns in a way, but necessary, God just allowed the nature of man to take its course,knowing the end result.

Wasn't Jesus, Himself, a Jew...why would His own people condemn Him to death? It wasn't the Jews...it was you, it was me...especially me.
Thank God I sought forgiveness and accepted His free Gift of Salvation. :) I am no longer His murderer.
