All the allussions in this poem are to my own works (see Away, Come Away Ladies, Old Poet Most Brazen, Journey's End, Osprey, Poet and Redmule (II), Red Mule, Kewatin,amongst others)

The long and short of this exercise is to say I'm back...

Redmule dancing in the noontide sun;
Redmule laughing in the pouring rain:
Carry me round the world and back again.

Lets ride the “Old Come Along Trail”
Across the Blue Desert of Song
North to where Kewatin blows
Ad the Osprey sings our names.

We can follow the moon along its trail,
and, when the old places pale, we can
boldly gallop along the path of the stars
to places we have not yet dreamed . . .

Redmule laughing in the noontide sun;
Redmule dancing in the pouring rain:
Carry me round the world and back again

John, how happy I am that you 'found' me, so that I can 'find' you... Your words speak of worlds beyond worlds to eyes who see... and there are more of us everyday.
Glad yer back!
