Last week I attended at retreat with a number of the clergy of this deanrey, the Retreat was rest full but the drive was memorable because of he flock of wild turkey that we saw. My first sighting.
Here are some pages out of my sketch book.
A sketch is a form that i made uo for a challenge that I proposed some years ago. It is three lines, about 15 words, of purely physical description. They can be grouped together ti tell a story.
Gruop of Seven were a group of seven (more or less) landscape painters who influenced the development of modern art in Canada in the 1920's. The figure of a white pine finds its way into many of theit paintins
Group of Seven dead snag by The King’s
Highway; feet in a gully beside road
grey barkless skeleton reaching to the sky
orange heads amongst the fallen corn
like the slain upon some stricken field
of seasons’ warring
Canada geese in low formation
flying out of the dawn mist
so low that you can count their primaries
wild turkeys patrol the summer hallow
bodies hidden against the loam
blue heads bobbing in the sunshine
What a thing of beauty is this brilliant picture. I see it through your eyes, that my friend is talents greatest sign. PLB&G (peace, love, blessings & gratitude) for caring and sharing. <Mikii>
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
