the perfect equine;
but
Red
is a mule
of a didferent
colour |

Ride
the
Red Mule
No Horse he
gets me somewhere
not as fast as I would
but as fast as he will.

ride
the
Red Mule
No Donkey he
goes with grace
shortcuts, longcuts
it matters not to him
I
ride
the
Red Mule.
My friend he
Loyal truculent
Beast of burden
companion and guide
I
ride
the
Red Mule
through the blue
desert of song. He
Knows the water holes
And where the wind sings.
I
ride
the
Red Mule.
That mule is
My muse, my banker
my rock, my servant, my
master, my friend, my voice
